Users

Users refer to the entities that are assigned roles.

Adding User

  • To add a new user, either visit the Users Page or navigate through the side panel by selecting Settings > Access Management > Users and then click on Add User button.

  • After clicking on the Add User button, it will present an Add User modal to configure the user.

User Configuration

  • Email required string Unique email for this user across the organization.

  • Name string Name of the user.

Assign Roles

  • Once user is configured click "Next" to assign role(s) in order to grant underlying permissions of the role(s).

  • Assigning role(s) is optional; you can choose to skip this step. After that, simply click "Save" to add the user to the system.

Users List

  • All the users in the system are visible in the users page in tabular view.

  • You can search the user names from the search box provided at the top right corner of the users table list and filter the entire list.

One can perform certain actions on a user which can be accessed by clicking the three dots menu icon at the end of each users list row.

Description

Edit User

Allows to edit the user entity. It will open the same User modal that was available while creating a new user with form values pre filled.

Disable User

Allows you to temporarily deny access to that particular user. Disabled user will lose entire access and will be logged out of the Observo system.

Enable User

If a user is disabled then only you will see this option. This option allows you to re-enable system access for the user.

Delete User

Delete the user from the system.
