Role Mapping

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) role mapping enables the automatic assignment of specific permissions to Observo users based on their existing roles within your organization. This ensures that users have the appropriate access to Observo without requiring manual oversight.

Adding Role Mapping

• To add role mapping, visit the SSO Page or navigate through the side panel by selecting Settings > Access Management > Single Sign-On.

• Click the three dots menu icon at the end of the row, then select Edit Role Mapping.

• You can also add Role Mapping during the Add SSO connection workflow.

Role Mapping Configuration

• Default User Role required option Default role for those users with no explicit role assigned.

• Field Path string Field path for the mapping.

• Role Mapping [object] Mapping of your organization roles against Observo roles.

Once the configuration is done, click "Save" to create the role mapping for the sso connection.
