Roles
Roles are entities that connect users with one or more permissions. They have a many-to-many relationship with users and a one-to-many relationship with permissions. In Observo, roles are utilized to consistently enforce permissions for users. Each role's permissions are unique to that role and cannot be shared with others. All users assigned to a role automatically inherit all associated permissions. Every organization includes two system-generated roles: Admin and Viewer. These roles are designed to facilitate the efficient onboarding of new users by the Admin. Admin roles possess full permissions throughout the organization, allowing them to manage users, modify permissions, and onboard or delete users. Conversely, the Viewer role is restricted to viewing all current and future resources within the organization, without the ability to make any modifications.
